Tasty Protein Recipes
Protein Smoothies and Shakes:
Raspberry Chocolate Shake 2 scoops chocolate protein shake mix 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries 1 cup low fat milk or vanilla flavored soy milk 4-6 ice cubes Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour in a tall glass & enjoy! (see the link at bottom of this page for the best tasting Weight Loss protein mixes available) Pina Colada with Protein Smoothie 8 oz pineapple juice, 1-2 teaspoons cream of coconut, 3 tablespoons vanilla protein powder. Add a couple of tablespoons crushed pineapple if you have it. Add ice and whip it up in a blender! Chop, chop! Apple with Protein Shake 8 oz apple juice with 3 tablespoons vanilla protein - mixes easily and tastes great! This recipe can be stirred or power blended with ice! Cran-Apple with Protein Shake 4 oz cranberry juice, 4 oz apple juice, and add 3 tablespoons vanilla protein. This recipe will also mix nicely. It is OK, if you don't feel like pulling out that blender! Here is an easy to clean
shaker.
Great Grape Protein Shake 8 oz concord grape juice stirred with 3 tablespoons vanilla protein powder. Reoccurring theme here: Easy as pie and satisfies! Banana Orange Protein Smoothie 8 oz orange juice, 1/2 banana, 3 tablespoons vanilla protein. Throw in some strawberries too, if you have them available! Yes, when you add fruit you will need a blender to make this drink! For extra strawberry flavor, try substituting
strawberry protein powder.
This protein powder is part of a weight loss program. One serving is loaded with protein and leucine.
Creamy French Vanilla or Bavarian Cocoa Smoothies 8 oz vanilla flavored Silk Milk (soy milk) and add 2 scoops Bavarian cocoa protein or 2 scoops French vanilla protein.

For the coffee drinkers - Coffee with Protein Smoothie 4 oz vanilla flavored Silk Milk, 4 oz chilled regular or decaf coffee, 1 scoop
Bavarian cocoa protein
and 1 scoop
French vanilla shake.
You don't really need a blender for this. The shaker cup above works great! Delicious!
Enrich Your baked Goods:
Start your day with protein enriched pancakes! I raised my healthy daughters with these recipes!
Blueberry Pancake Recipe with protein enricher:1 cup flour 1/4 cup
protein enricher - made for baking!
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar or fructose
1 cup whole or 2% milk (do not substitute soy milk for baking)
3 tablespoons
safflower
or corn oil (olive oil just doesn't work!) 1 egg - try to get cage free, farm fresh eggs with no antibiotics sprinkle sea salt Mix dry ingredients first, then stir in the rest of the ingredients. Pour small amounts of the mixture on to a hot grill or fry pan. When the pancakes are half done sprinkle with blueberries and flip them. For a larger batch, double the recipe! Enriched Bran Muffin recipe: 1 cup bran (I prefer regular bran but oat bran will work, too) minus 2 tablespoons and add enricher instead. 3/4 cup unbleached flour minus 1 - 2 tablespoons and add protein enricher instead. 1/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 cup buttermilk (to make buttermilk, add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to the milk and let sit for 5 min. If you use sweet milk, the muffins won't taste as good) 1 egg 1/4 cup safflower or corn oil Mix the dry ingredients. Pour in liquids and stir. Fill muffin pans 1/2 to 2/3 full (use muffin papers) Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. This recipe makes 6-8 medium size muffins. Enriched Blueberry Muffins 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup protein enricher 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup safflower or corn oil 1/3 cup honey 1 cup blueberries (drained) Beat egg slightly with a fork. Stir in milk and oil and honey. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, then add to egg and milk mixture. Stir just until moistened. Blend blueberries in carefully. Fill muffin pans 1/2 to 2/3 full (use muffin papers) Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes. This recipe makes about 10 medium size muffins. Simple No Cook Protein Fudge: 1 cup regular protein powder - vanilla or cocoa, or the protein enricher will work too. (my favorite is the regular vanilla protein in this recipe) 1 cup peanut butter - natural peanut butter is the best! Avoid hydrogenated oils. 3/4 cup honey 1 cup rolled oats or crunchy cereal (here is your fiber!) 1/4 teaspoon vanilla Mix with electric mixer and press into a 8" x 8" pan. Top with nuts, or coconut, or leave plain. Refrigerate first, then cut. No baking or cooking required! A note about my Simple Protein Fudge - if you like protein & health bars you will love this recipe. It is sweet but not sickening sweet. It is a great way to add extra protein and fiber to your diet. You will be very surprised how good this fudge tastes! Peanut Butter Yogurt Parfait: 1 peanut butter crunchy protein bar 6 oz fat-free vanilla yogurt (or 4 oz frozen yogurt) 1/2 tsp. mini semisweet chocolate chips Break protein bar into small pieces. In a separate dish, scoop 6 oz of yogurt (or 4 oz frozen yogurt) into the center of the dish and sprinkle with peanut putter par pieces. Garnish with chocolate chips.
